Weep Not, Faint Soul

Thinkest thou ‘tis all for naught,
Thine paupered life amiss?
Consider that thine ails compel
Thine heart to seek a Fortress.

Weep not, faint soul, and seek respite
In fairer shades of peace
For though thine sorrow last the night,
In morn’ ‘twill doubtless cease.
